Dr. Phil Dodson and the Great Organ

This "King of Instruments" located in Celebration Hall, is one of the largest pipe organs in the Western United States, with four keyboards, pedals and 8,500 pipes. Dr. Dodson will play and discuss music from "Bach to Bachrach." The program includes a walk - through of the four rooms housing the thousands of pipes, some are as tall as a three- story building; others as small as a pencil. Students have the opportunity to sit at the organ and " play," experiencing its many sounds, as well as to enjoy the architectural beauty of Celebration Hall of the Olive Drive Community Church with its natural woods and stained glass windows.
