Bringing Fine Arts Experiences to Kern County Children since 1970

Until five years ago our programs were reaching some 40,000 students annually.  Then with the sudden curtailment in school budgets plus drastic cut-backs in arts activities replaced with additional emphasis on academic subjects we dropped to 8,000 students.  Now, parents and educators are beginning to realize the need towards a more balanced curriculum.  Last season we climbed back to 27,000 participating students.

Young Audiences of Kern County is working towards a vigorous fall campaign alerting our fast growing community that this is the time to contribute community support toward extensive creative arts opportunities for our children. We intend to involve the business community, donors, parent school support groups and extensive media coverage.
