3-8 Presented by William Frederick Boycott as "Sergeant Patrick
Gass" of the Lewis and
Clark expedition of 1804.
Utilizing living history and
dramatic interpretation, Sgt. Gass recounts the Lewis and Clark journey
following the Missouri river fro St. Louis to its
source in the Rocky Mountains
and eventually, on to the Pacific Ocean. Sgt.
Gass describes this journey using expedition journal writings and some songs
performed on fiddle, banjo,
mandolin and guitar. Traditional
Native American
Sign Language is also presented and it's usefulness is explained in communication
