Young Audiences is a nationwide, nonprofit arts and education organization whose purpose is to enrich the lives of children through listening, seeing and participating in the various arts.  Young Audiences of Kern County has been providing professional artists to all public and private schools in Kern County from Frazier Park to Delano and from Taft to California city since 1970.  For many students, these programs are a first time "live arts" experience.

Mission Statement

"It is the mission of Young Audiences of Kern County to provide arts experiences for the youth of Kern County;  to provide cultural experiences in the arts' disciplines of music, dance, theatre and multi-cultural activities;  and to promote all arts as an integral part of the school curriculum."

Community Support

  Contracted programs depend on limited school budget financing, student body resources, school eligible for government Title I funding and parent support groups.  Our Board of Directors is making every effort to find ways to offer financial assistance in order to bring quality Arts programs to the schools of Kern County .  Please see our Community Support page to see how you can help.
